Core64 Interactive Core Memory Kit V0.8 (Pico W, full-size, white)

$199.00

This is the newest Core64 with all boards made in white solder mask and black text.

This version of Core64 is fully hackable and accessible from the front side. It comes with the Raspberry Pi Pico W and a stylus pair utilizing of stronger 3mm magnets for slightly a more “flowy” experience. Functionality is fundamentally the same as the other Core64 kits and the kit shares the same code base. The code is written and compiled in VSCode with PlatformIO in the Arduino framework.

This improved design brings all of the IO out to dedicated User Ports A & B, and is compatible with a custom made Core64 Hacker Board so you can use any micro controller (even a 6502 if you’d like!) off-board. It also has header rows for optional add-ons like an SD Card, LCD, and color and monochrome OLED displays.

The only difference between the Core64 (Pico W) and Core64c (Pico) is the size of the logic board now, and available room on the board for optional header installation.

The kit includes everything for a completely operational Core64, except for the tools. It is composed of four sub-kits: Core Matrix Board (weave your own core memory!), LED Array Board (with batteries), Logic Board (with Pico W), and two magnetic Styli. All SMT is done, you just need to weave the core memory, install thru-hole headers, install the Pico W, and assemble the styli.

This version of the kit replaces the previous version which was all black, and used the Teensy 3.2. The older version will continue to be supported, but will not be manufactured any more.
